Last trade for 2024, the end of month straddles!
November closed for a small loss, so far ytd up ~53 pts buying the straddle for the last 10 mins of the month.
Nov straddle ended up being cheapest since July 2017. Vol picked up last few weeks and it looks like we are going to go into end of Dec on the higher end of ytd eom straddles. Currently ~37 bps with 1.5 hrs to go, Dec eom expirations have not been very exciting historically, however, eod straddles have been on a bit of a streak post FOMC:
